Reports have circulated on social media regarding damage to information signs placed near the 'Tandir Hamam' architectural monument and a nearby ancient well in Baku's Central Park.

Jnews.az reports that the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan stated that these information signs were not installed by the state and do not comply with official standards.

It was noted that these signs were installed during landscaping works in the area.

Currently, a phased project is being implemented by the State Service to install official information signs at historical and cultural heritage sites. According to information, over the past year, such information signs were placed at 1,282 monuments.

The State Service's plans include installing an official information sign at 'Tandir Hamam'.

Representatives of the agency stated that the issue of damage to the existing signs will be monitored for investigation.

It should be noted that 'Tandir Hamam' is an architectural monument of local significance. The monument's condition is monitored by the Baku Regional Office of the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage.

According to the State Service, restoration work was carried out at the site in 2025.
