Home front defense is being reinforced
In recent months, the Israeli military has implemented a number of technological innovations to strengthen home front defense. These preparations are taking place at a time when Iran’s strikes against US military bases in the region have increased.
The Israeli General Staff is preparing for various scenarios, including the possibility of a surprise attack by Iran against the country. Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir regularly updates and approves plans covering both defensive and offensive operations.
Options are being considered for the IDF to respond independently or act jointly with US armed forces if the threat materializes. Coordination between the Israeli and US militaries is reported to be ongoing around the clock.
Intelligence updates warning systems
The Military Intelligence Directorate, led by Major General Shlomi Binder, is also working on improving warning systems. The goal is to detect preparations for a possible attack from Iran as early as possible. According to the Israeli military, the Military Intelligence Directorate is currently preparing for various scenarios and maintaining a high level of readiness.
The security establishment stated that Israel’s response strategy is divided into two main scenarios, depending on how much preparation time the army will have before a possible attack. These scenarios are designed for situations with short notice or longer preparation time.
