Two people received minor injuries as a result of the explosion of an unknown object near the train station in Augsburg, Germany.

Jnews.az reports that the incident occurred on the morning of September 2 in the passage of a building near Augsburg Central Station. As a result of the explosion, glass in some nearby windows was also shattered.

Following the incident, police cordoned off a wide area, and a suspicious object was found at the station. As part of security measures, the station was temporarily closed and train traffic was halted.

However, the object was later determined not to be dangerous. Police reopened the station, and train service was restored.

What exploded and the reason behind the incident remain unknown. German police and the Bavarian State Criminal Police are conducting an investigation into the matter.

Although some local media outlets reported that the explosion might have been caused by a hand grenade, this version has not been officially confirmed.
