Ukraine carried out a large-scale drone attack on Moscow and surrounding regions overnight. According to Russian officials, a total of 400 UAVs were involved in the attack. As a result, 10 people were injured, and residential and industrial facilities sustained damage.
Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov stated that one of the main targets of the attack was the city of Domodedovo, where one of the capital's airports is located. According to him, 7 people were injured as a result of the drone strikes. Among the injured are three Chinese citizens.
Domodedovo Mayor Yevgeniya Khrustalyova reported that the attack caused a fire at one of the industrial parks in the city. Additionally, a residential building was also hit by a drone.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems were highly active during the attack and neutralized numerous unmanned aerial vehicles. However, the destruction and injuries indicate that the security situation in the region remains tense.
The Ukrainian side has not yet issued an official statement regarding the attack.
