The leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states concluded the summit held in Bishkek with the signing of 28 bilateral and multilateral documents.

Jnews.az reports that the final package of documents is aimed at expanding cooperation in key areas of security and economic development.

The main document of the summit was the Bishkek Declaration dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the SCO. In addition, the participating countries approved a cooperation plan in the field of ensuring international information security for 2026–2028.

Economic cooperation will be expanded

Within the framework of the economic agenda, an action plan covering 2026–2030 on the development of ports and logistics centers of the member countries was adopted.

Heads of state and government also signed a declaration on expanding multilateral partnership in the field of nuclear safety.

Lahore will be the cultural and tourism capital of the SCO

Within the framework of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, a decision was made to grant the city of Lahore in Pakistan the status of the tourism and cultural capital of the SCO for 2026–2027.

In addition, the parties signed a number of other documents aimed at developing the organisation’s activities and existing cooperation.
