Azerbaijan has officially joined the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO).
Jnews.az reports, citing the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that membership will create new opportunities for Azerbaijan to benefit from advanced international practices in digital policy and technological standards.
Membership in the DCO will also open up new opportunities for the Azerbaijani technology sector. Local startups will gain new opportunities to enter the markets of member countries, participate in joint acceleration programs, and attract investment from venture capital funds.
As part of the cooperation, Azerbaijan plans to use the experience of the member countries of the organization to improve the e-government system, implement artificial intelligence, and use smart technologies in public administration.
It is expected that this cooperation will also contribute to strengthening Azerbaijan’s position as a digital bridge connecting the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
For its part, Azerbaijan plans to present its achievements in the field of information and communication technologies on the DCO platform, including projects of the Digital Development Council.
The exchange of experience is expected to create opportunities for increasing the country’s export potential in the digital products and services sector.
