On September 1, a meeting was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Jnews.az reports that during the meeting, it was emphasized that Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are based on the principles of brotherhood and strategic alliance. The leaders expressed satisfaction with the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The Presidents noted that in accordance with the «one nation, two states» principle, Azerbaijan and Turkey have always supported each other in both good times and hard times.
During the meeting, primary attention was focused on issues of strengthening peace and stability in the region.
The heads of state also discussed the development prospects of allied relations, current issues on the regional agenda, and other topics of mutual interest.
