President Ilham Aliyev sent a letter of congratulation to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Dear Mr. President,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I cordially congratulate you and, through you, your friendly people on the occasion of a landmark anniversary – the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, and convey my best wishes.
The current level of Azerbaijan-Ukraine friendly relations, which possess rich traditions, is a source of satisfaction. Our political dialogue, high-level mutual visits, and cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres are important aspects of our strategic partnership. I would particularly like to note our fruitful cooperation in the energy sector, which has been continuing for many years.
I highly appreciate the results of your working visit to Azerbaijan in April this year and my meeting with you. Undoubtedly, our regular meetings and contacts, as well as our mutual support on issues regarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our countries, are key factors underpinning the strengthening of our interstate relations.
The existence of an active dialogue at the highest level creates a favorable ground for deepening our cooperation in various fields, particularly in trade, economics, humanitarian affairs, agriculture, investment, and other areas. We will continue to extend humanitarian support to the friendly people of Ukraine.
I believe that we will continue to make joint efforts to strengthen Azerbaijan-Ukraine friendly relations for the benefit of our peoples.
