Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that the participation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the Karabakh conflict was impossible from both legal and practical standpoints.
According to the diplomat, the main reason for this situation was that Armenia itself did not recognize the territory.
Zakharova also noted that the position on the impossibility of intervention is based on the organization's charter and the geographical features of the conflict.
