How this works
The page does not embed anyone else's player: the channel's stream plays in ours, and the playback library is loaded only at the moment you start it. In Safari and on the iPhone HLS plays through the browser's own means; in other browsers it goes through hls.js, hosted on this same server.
If the stream is unavailable — which happens when the broadcast restarts or during maintenance on the channel's side — the player shows a message and offers to open the stream on baku.ws. There will be no empty black square.
