More than 22,000 people have been affected by floods in eastern India, the Hindustan Times reports.
The northeast of the country was hit hardest, in particular the state of Arunachal Pradesh, where dozens of houses and cars have been submerged.
Roads have been damaged and traffic paralysed. According to media reports, a railway bridge collapsed amid the flooding.
