One of Israel’s most significant cultural events, the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Festival, will take place this year from July 26 to 30.
Founded as a private initiative, the festival has grown into a long-standing tradition and is now recognized as one of the country’s leading classical music events.
Over the course of five days, opera and classical music enthusiasts will enjoy concerts and performances at some of Jerusalem’s most prominent cultural venues. The program includes the Harmony Hall, Jerusalem Theatre, Museum of Italian Jewish Art, Beit Shmuel Theatre, and the Sergei Compound.
One of the festival’s central venues will be the Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem, where the official opening ceremony will be held. Several other concerts from the festival program will also take place at the museum.
All performances at the Bible Lands Museum are organized in cooperation with the museum itself. This partnership gives visitors the opportunity not only to enjoy world-class musical performances but also to explore the museum’s permanent collection and its latest exhibition.
According to the festival organizers, the event aims to make opera more accessible to a wider audience while creating a unique cultural experience that brings together music, history, and heritage.
