Today marks the 108th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. To commemorate this significant day, military marches were held in the central streets and avenues of Baku.
The events took place accompanied by military orchestras. Before the marches, the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. The military personnel's marches continued until 12:00 PM.
March Routes
Five different routes were designated for the movement of military personnel in the capital. The first route started from the Heydar Aliyev Palace, passed through Bulbul Avenue, Nizami Cinema Center, and Neftchilar Avenue, concluding at Azadliq Square and the Sea Terminal.
The second route began from the Alley of Martyrs. Military personnel marched past the "Flame Towers" complex, Chambarakand Park, "Icherisheher" metro station, Gala Gapisi, Azerbaijan State Puppet Theatre, Azneft Circle, and up to the Bahram Gur monument.
The third group started its movement from G. Musabayov Park, passing through Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev Street, Huseyn Javid Avenue, Huseyn Javid Park, and Parliament Avenue, reaching the Alley of Martyrs.
The fourth march, starting from the "Olympic Star" Sports and Entertainment Center, continued along Samad Vurgun Street, Officers' Park, Baku State Circus, Heydar Aliyev Palace, and towards the Imadaddin Nasimi monument, ending at Neftchilar Avenue.
The fifth and final route began near the Nariman Narimanov monument. This group moved towards Central Park, Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre, Winter Park, Heydar Aliyev Palace, Central Bank, and the "28 Mall" shopping center.
