The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has released information regarding an incident involving eight people in the Lankaran region. According to the ministry, the citizens went missing in a mountainous, forested area with complex terrain near Istisu settlement.
As soon as information about the incident was received, rescuers from the MES Southern Regional Center were immediately dispatched to the area.
As a result of the search and rescue operations carried out by the rescuers, the location of the 8 people who had lost their way in the difficult-to-access area was determined, and they were rescued.
Employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources' Forest Management Center and local villagers also actively participated in the search operation.
