Suren Papikyan will be reappointed as Armenia's Defense Minister, and Arpine Sargsyan will retain her post as Interior Minister. This decision was announced by the country's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a briefing following a board meeting of the Civil Contract party, Armenian media report.
As the head of government noted, the officials will continue to hold their ministerial positions, and no personnel changes regarding them are planned in the near future. Suren Papikyan has headed the Defense Ministry since November 15, 2021, while Arpine Sargsyan has held the post of Interior Minister since November 20, 2024.
Pashinyan also announced that Lilit Makunts will be appointed as the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff. Since August 29, 2025, she has held the position of Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister, and from 2021 to 2025, she served as Armenia's Ambassador to the United States.
