The office of the «Channel 12» television channel operating in Tel Aviv, Israel, has been attacked for the second time in the past month. An unknown masked person broke the glass entrance door of the building by throwing a brick.
The incident was caught on the television channel’s security cameras. The footage shows a masked person approaching the building, throwing a brick at the door, and immediately fleeing the scene.
In a statement released by the television channel after the incident, it was noted that threats against its employees have increased recently.
«This attack occurred after graffiti calling for violence against our journalists was painted on our building several times,» the statement noted.
Israeli police announced that they have launched an investigation into the incident.
This is the second similar attack recorded against the television channel’s building in the past month. Earlier in the month, an unknown person broke the entrance door of the building at night using the same method. Despite the presence of security camera footage, the suspect has not yet been identified or detained.
In recent days, the number of similar attacks against media organizations in Tel Aviv has increased. This month, the entrance door of the «Haaretz» newspaper’s editorial office was also broken by a masked person.
