China is rehearsing missile strikes and attack scenarios on full-scale mock-ups of US military bases, warships, and Taiwan's strategic state facilities as part of preparations for a possible armed conflict with the US and Taiwan.
According to a report by The Telegraph based on satellite imagery analysis, mock-ups of the US Yokosuka naval base in Japan, Taiwan's Suao military base, and US Navy destroyers have been created at the training grounds of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).
Traces of missile strikes on these facilities are clearly visible in the satellite images. This indicates that the Chinese military is conducting live weapons tests and rehearsing various scenarios for possible combat operations.
According to military experts, during these exercises, China is testing the use of anti-ship, ballistic, and hypersonic missiles, including the YJ-21 and YJ-17 missile systems.
Reportedly, Beijing also attaches special importance to preparations directed at Taiwan. The Chinese military has built precise mock-ups of government buildings in Taipei, the presidential residence, and the capital's streets. According to experts, these facilities are used to rehearse scenarios for capturing the main command centers of the Taiwanese leadership and attacking the capital.
Analysts believe that the scale of this preparation is at an unprecedented level. According to them, the mock-ups are not only a military training tool but also carry a geopolitical message. By doing this, Beijing demonstrates to Taiwan its readiness to seize the island by force, shows the US that its military bases in the region could be potential targets, and reminds Japan of the risk of being drawn into a possible conflict.
