In January-August 2026, 12 billion 619.1 million manats in taxes were received into the state budget through the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy. This figure is 900.1 million manats higher than the forecast and increased by 1.58 billion manats, or 9.2 percent, compared to the same period in 2025.
Jnews.az reports that a significant portion of revenues came from the non-oil and gas sector. Tax revenues to the state budget from this sector amounted to 9 billion 460 million manats. The figure exceeded the forecast by 281.7 million manats, and compared to the same period in 2025, it increased by 1.34 billion manats, or 12.3 percent.
During the reporting period, revenues from mandatory state social insurance contributions also exceeded the forecast. Revenues in this area amounted to 4.5 billion manats and were 229.4 million manats higher than forecasted.
Revenues from unemployment insurance contributions reached 161.8 million manats, while revenues from mandatory health insurance contributions reached more than 682 million manats.
The increase in the share of the non-oil and gas sector in tax revenues is noteworthy. In 2025, this sector provided 51.9 percent of state budget revenues.
In the first half of 2026, the share of the non-oil and gas sector in state budget revenues reached 57.3 percent.
According to data from the State Tax Service for January-August 2026, the tax revenue forecast was fulfilled at 107.7 percent. The forecast for revenues to the state budget through the State Tax Service for 2026 was set at 16.91 billion manats.
