The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) conducted a joint operation in the Gaza Strip on September 2.
Jnews.az reports that as a result of the operation, Muhammad Mahmud Marshad al-Qadi, a commander of Hamas’s elite «Nukhba» unit, was killed. A precise strike was carried out on a facility located in the Khan Yunis area.
According to Shin Bet, the purpose of the operation was to eliminate an immediate threat posed by the armed individual.
According to Israeli media, al-Qadi played a key role in the attack on the «Sufa» military base on October 7 and commanded terrorists during the attack. He also participated in holding hostages in the Rafah area during the war.
Recently, the killed commander’s activities had been focused on training new fighters and restoring the Hamas organization’s operational capabilities.
