Israel plans to release five Lebanese prisoners on September 3 and return them to their homeland.
Jnews.az reports that this move is evaluated as a political gesture as part of ongoing negotiations between the Israeli side and the Lebanese government.
Among those to be released is Malik Kamal Ghazi. He is expected to be handed over to the Lebanese side in the near future via the Naqoura border crossing. In official statements, this move is characterized as a "gesture of goodwill."
Malik Kamal Ghazi went missing in October 2025 at the age of 20. According to data, he disappeared in the Ain Ata area of the Rashaya district after heading into mountainous terrain on a motorcycle for sports and losing contact.
