The HAMAS terrorist group announced that it has presented a consolidated response from Palestinian movements to the plan for resolving the situation in the Gaza Strip. This plan, known as the "roadmap," was proposed by Nikolai Mladenov, the High Representative of the "Peace Council."
According to HAMAS's statement, the common position of the Palestinian movements was formed during negotiations that took place last week in Cairo. Representatives of the mediator countries: Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt, also participated in these negotiations.
The submitted document expresses the readiness of Palestinian movements for a "responsible" transition to the second stage of the plan proposed by US President Donald Trump. However, the response emphasizes the mandatory full implementation of the first stage of this plan.
"This implies an end to aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the complete withdrawal of Zionist troops, the provision of full-scale humanitarian aid, the formation of an administrative committee," the response of the Palestinian movements states. In addition, the document stresses the necessity of creating an independent Palestinian state.
