It was reported that the neutralized individuals, Hazem Musa and Razek Sahil Suleyman Abu Shahma, entered the Re'im military base during the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.
According to information, Abu Shahma previously served as a bodyguard for former Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar.
According to the Israeli side, the killed individuals also participated in attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians in the subsequent period. It was reported that they were also attempting to rebuild Hamas's military capabilities in violation of ceasefire agreement terms.
