Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan and his son Sedrak Kocharyan have been taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee.
According to Bagrat Mikoyan, head of Robert Kocharyan's office, the former president was taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee by investigators in the morning, Jnews.az reports.
It was later reported that his son Sedrak Kocharyan was also taken to the Committee. Meanwhile, officers of the National Security Service of Armenia are conducting a search at Robert Kocharyan's home. Members of the Kocharyan family were reportedly at home during the search.
It has also been officially confirmed that a search was conducted at the home of Robert Kocharyan's other son, parliamentary deputy Levon Kocharyan.
Marina Ohanyan, spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia, stated that large-scale investigative measures are being carried out across dozens of addresses as part of corruption investigations. The Committee added that additional information will be provided if necessary.
According to Armenian media reports, investigative measures are also being conducted at the «Orange Premium Fitness Club» and a «Toyota» auto dealership belonging to the Kocharyan family.
