A severe traffic accident has occurred in the territory of the Khatinli village in the Tovuz district. The "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received a report that a car had fallen into a water canal and a citizen was trapped inside the vehicle.
Firefighter-rescuers from the Tovuz District Fire Protection Unit of the MES State Fire Protection Service were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon assessing the operational conditions, it was determined that a VAZ passenger car had lost control and plunged into the water canal.
The firefighter-rescuers recovered the bodies of the trapped driver, Said Sakit oghlu Haziyev (born in 1996), and Arzu Shahmar oghlu Musayev (born in 1987), who fell into the canal as a result of the accident. The bodies were subsequently handed over to the relevant authorities.
The relevant authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
