Bakhtiyar Hasanov, chairman of the Union of National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis, has been deported from Russia.
Hasanov was taken to a Moscow airport from a temporary detention center for migrants, where he had been held, and subsequently departed from Russia.
Hasanov's Russian citizenship was revoked in September last year. The decision was justified by his long-standing ties to shadow schemes, including patronage of illegal migration and the circulation of counterfeit products.
