Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that complacency after the recent confrontation with Iran is dangerous, emphasizing the importance of continuing economic and political pressure on Tehran. He highlighted this as a crucial step to ensure regional security.
According to the minister, the Iranian leadership is spending the country's financial resources on supporting various armed groups in the Middle East, rather than on the welfare of its citizens.
Katz claims that any financial resources obtained by the Iranian regime could potentially be directed towards funding Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and other groups that Tehran has long supported.
We must not be complacent with what has been achieved so far.
The Israeli official added that combating the financing of terrorism is one of his country's main national security priorities. For this reason, he called on the international community to increase pressure to limit Iran's influence in the region.
