Bahadur Rzayev, Deputy Executive Director of TABIB, announced that by the end of the year, the goal is to eliminate the long-standing queue problem in state medical institutions. According to him, the online appointment system is being expanded in stages and will be implemented in 6 more medical institutions starting next week.
Bahadur Rzayev noted that the new system will allow citizens to book online appointments with doctors of the same specialty in other state hospitals if they cannot find an available slot in their chosen medical institution. The aim is to use resources more efficiently and facilitate access to medical services.
He emphasized that the number of patients each doctor can see is limited, and citizens can also benefit from services in alternative medical institutions. To this end, staff are available in institutions where the electronic queue system is implemented to provide support to citizens.
The TABIB official also urged citizens to cancel appointments they will not use in a timely manner. According to him, in some medical institutions, only 58 percent of those who book online appointments actually show up, while 42 percent do not use their appointments, which limits other citizens' access to services.
Bahadur Rzayev added that the state procurement process has already been announced, and by the end of the year, the online appointment system will be more widely implemented across the country. As a result, citizens will be able to receive medical services by booking in advance, without waiting in long queues. He also stressed the importance of public awareness for the success of the system.
