In recent hours, reports about a draft memorandum between the United States and Iran, published by Al Arabiya, have been actively circulating in the information space. It is important to note that there is currently no official confirmation of the existence of this document; only limited circles of individuals in Washington and Tehran have seen it. Nevertheless, the publication has caused widespread public resonance.

Content of the "Leaked" Document

According to the presented points, the content of the draft appears to be significant concessions from the US side:

  • Washington undertakes to develop a plan for the reconstruction of the Iranian economy worth at least 300 billion dollars.
  • It provides for the complete lifting of all existing sanctions, including American restrictions and UN Security Council resolutions.
  • In response, Iran pledges by "honest word" to refuse to produce nuclear weapons.

Iranian representatives already regard these terms as a "victory over America." However, experts urge not to panic, as this is only a preliminary, unofficially published draft. Even if the document is real, its practical implementation raises serious doubts.

Lebanon as a Key Aspect

One of the most controversial points of the agreement is the demand for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanon. Executing the withdrawal of the contingent by the specified date, June 19, appears technically and physically impossible. This would lead to the abandonment of all fortifications and equipment, which would be a serious political and security failure for Israel.

Reasons to Remain Calm

History shows that Israel has faced difficult situations when allies did not always act in its interests, for example, in 1948 or during subsequent embargoes. However, modern Israel is a strong state with a powerful army and a clear understanding of its national interests, capable of solving emerging problems independently.

Further Prospects

It is recommended to wait until June 19 — the date when the memorandum, if it truly exists, should be made public. Even after a potential signing, there are about 60 days of negotiations ahead, presumably until mid-August. In the Middle East, this is a sufficiently long period during which the situation can change radically.

The situation remains under close observation. The army is on full alert, and actions will be based on the real state of affairs, not on unofficially published drafts.
