Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he will visit the US capital, Washington, on July 27. During the visit, he will meet with US President Donald Trump and also attend the funeral of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, whom he described as a close friend of Israel.

According to Netanyahu, during the meeting, along with recent developments in the region and other important issues on the agenda, the situation around Iran will be discussed extensively.

The Prime Minister also commented on the situation in Lebanon. He denied media reports regarding the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the "yellow line" in the country. Netanyahu noted that in one of the two so-called "pilot zones," no Israeli troops were deployed at all, while in the other zone—north of the Litani River—only temporarily deployed forces are operating.

Netanyahu also welcomed the removal of International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan from his post. According to him, during a recent telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Washington's intention to take decisive steps against the ICC was reaffirmed.
