Morality police patrols have reportedly been seen on city streets in Tehran once again. According to reports, the number of law enforcement officers has noticeably increased in central districts of the Iranian capital, including around Valiasr Square.
This comes at a time of rising complaints regarding the harassment of women accused of violating mandatory dress code regulations.
It is reported that monitoring of citizens', especially women's, clothing and appearance on city streets has been tightened. For this reason, tension is observed in some central areas of Tehran.
