Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir visited a facility under construction intended for the execution of death sentences for individuals convicted of terrorist activities. The complex is located in central Israel, but the agency has not disclosed the exact address of the facility.
According to the project, a special wing will be created in the new center where gallows will be installed. One of the main features of the facility is the presence of special viewing booths. These booths will allow survivors of terrorist attacks and family members of the deceased to be present in person during the execution of the sentence.
Ben-Gvir noted that such a practice is applied in a number of other countries, including the US.

It should be noted that the law providing for the application of the death penalty for terrorists was passed by the Knesset on March 30, 2026. 62 lawmakers voted in favor of the initiative, while 48 voted against. The author of the bill is an MP from the Otzma Yehudit party whose spouse was killed as a result of a terrorist attack.
