In brief
The museum holds Azerbaijani avant-garde, unofficial Soviet-era art and contemporary work. The display rejects the classic enfilade: walls stand at angles and the vantage point keeps shifting.
There is a permanent collection alongside temporary shows, plus a dedicated children's programme.
