Yarden Bibas, father of the Bibas family taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023, shared an emotional letter on the birthday of his son Ariel Bibas.
Addressing his son in the letter, Yarden Bibas stated that they could not celebrate his birthday together.
“Chuki, I can’t lift you on your birthday chair on your birthday. I also can’t see you excitedly opening your gifts,” he wrote.
Bibas noted that each passing day is getting even harder for him.
The Bibas family was taken hostage from Kibbutz Nir Oz during Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Later, Israeli officials announced that Ariel Bibas lost his life in Hamas captivity.
According to reports, the family’s dog named Tonto was also killed during the attack on that day.
