NATO is attempting to distance Armenia from its allies in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), according to Russia's permanent representative to the CSTO, Vasilyev.
According to him, NATO countries and certain Western states are taking various steps to distance Armenia from the CSTO. Vasilyev noted that these steps include conducting joint military exercises with Armenia.
"We observe that NATO countries and individual Western states are trying to distance Armenia from its CSTO allies. These attempts are also carried out through the organization of joint military exercises," the Russian diplomat stated.
Meanwhile, Russian media reported that the European Union may demand that Armenia introduce a visa regime for Russian citizens. At the same time, Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service claimed that the EU wants Armenia to reduce the presence of Russian business activity in the country.
