As of June 1, 2026, the population of Azerbaijan has reached 10,271,638 people, an increase of 9,287 or 0.1% compared to the beginning of the year. The State Statistical Committee released this information.
According to the committee's figures, 54.3% of the country's population lives in urban areas, while 45.7% resides in rural areas. Regarding gender distribution, 49.8% of the population are men and 50.2% are women.
