On August 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan for a state visit. A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the head of state at Tashkent's Tashkent-Khumo International Airport.
President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed at the airport by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife Ziroatxon Mirziyoyeva.
As part of the visit, a one-on-one meeting was held between the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the same day.
