The State Migration Service of Azerbaijan has released updated statistics on the number of foreign citizens residing in the republic. According to the head of the agency, Vusal Huseynov, there are currently about 210,000–220,000 foreigners in the country.
According to him, this figure is not static and can change depending on the season. In particular, during the summer months, the number of foreign citizens staying in Azerbaijan traditionally increases due to a rise in tourist flow.
“Against the background of this overall figure, the number of people residing illegally is relatively small and is assessed as being at a manageable level,” Vusal Huseynov emphasized.
The released data reflects the current situation regarding migration registration in the country.
