The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the continuation of operations to search for and destroy weapons and ammunition allegedly belonging to Hezbollah in the security zone in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, units of the 91st Division have discovered dozens of weapons and military equipment in the region in recent days. The findings reportedly include Kalashnikov assault rifles, RPG grenade launchers, explosive devices, hand grenades, ammunition magazines, and other military equipment.
In addition, the army's statement noted that a suspicious person was observed approaching the positions of Israeli soldiers in the Ras Beyada area. The soldiers initially fired warning shots into the air. After the individual failed to comply with the order to stop, he was fired upon in order to neutralize the threat.
The Israeli army did not provide information about the fate of the suspect following the incident.
